(Guptill) Gatchell Fay, Judith - 1969

Contact Email: bertguptill@hotmail.com
I regret to inform classmates that my sister, Judy Guptill, who would have graduated in the Class of '69, passed away from lung cancer, in Fort Pierce, Florida, October 2, 2005. She had fought other severe illnesses for the previous 10 years, but the "smokes" got her in the end.

Judi lived a colorful life! She was a professional model and actress in New York and Florida. She taught school for a while and ran several businesses. Judi had her Captain's Papers and loved fishing. She was past president of the Amvets Women's Auxiliary, and was active in the American Legion and Eagles.

Despite illnesses (SSI) and being blown away by 2 hurricanes, she kept her two step-grandchildren from going into "the system". Judi loved all her children and grandchildren and fought all battles with great valor. I wish that I could have been closer to her over the years, but Oregon is a wet stretch from Florida.

Many thanks to our childhood friends from the "hood", Susan Cassidy Smith'68 and Susan Stickens Kluge'66 who shared themselves with our family during this past year. May God Bless.

From obit. 08-30-51 to 10-02-05
