In the News...

Sandy Kessaris, class of ’49, and Bob Carr, class of ’49, plus BHS coach Dick Batchelder, have written a pictorial book chronicling more than 100 years of BHS football. They have allowed the Beverly Historical Society & Museum to publish this book for them and are selling it with the net profits going to the Society, (a 501C3 organization) More info

Former BHS Librarian Kevin McGrath opened an area of the BHS Library devoted to the Archives of Beverly High School.  The collection features documents dating back to the mid-1800s, as well as old BHS publications.  You can view samples of the collection online, at http://www.primaryresearch.org, or visit the BHS library... (don't forget your hall pass!!).  McGrath has since taken a position at another school, but the archives are still well-maintained, and are available for viewing (call ahead) at the BHS library.

Beverly High School retained its accreditation in April, 2006.

Memorial Middle School closed at the end of the 2004/2005 school year.  As of 2005, all Beverly middle school students were attending Briscoe Middle School, which was originally constructed in 1923 and served as the city's high school until 1965.
