It took my kid brother to tell me about this web site, being the techno genius that I am. After high school, I attended UMass/Amherst and graduated in 1984. Because that was so much fun, I went on to Northeastern for my Masters in psychology and got my Doctorate from UAlbany where I've remained and work as a child psychologist. And because that was so much fun, I had two of my own (with considerable help from my wife Susan). There, my whole life in 1 small paragraph. I'd love to hear from any of the old gang from band, chorus, the shows, Mr. Lapointe's /homeroom geometry class (!)

Well, I have been married to my wonderful husband David for eight years this coming August. After high school I recieved my BSW at Salem State and in 1986 went to work at The Salvation Army in Beverly as a social worker. I recently went back to Salem State and recieved my Masters in social work. I still work at The Salvation Army and look forward to our new building in Salem and all the great programs I will be coordinating!! 1/05 - Moved to Pittsburgh PA in January of 1987. Took a shot at moving back in early 2001 but the price of housing up there....well...you know the drill. Married a Pittsburgh girl (die hard Steeler fan, forgive her) in 1990 and have a boy and girl, 8 and 10 respectively.
Had a BLAST at the 20th reunion. Just ask anyone. Even the people who didn't know me in high school probably remember me from the damn reunion.

11/15/01 - Hello Class Of 1980,I have been living in the Boston area now for 5 years!Only 25 miles from Beverly. My daughter is now 16 years old. WE moved this way to be closer to my her new school. This was a great adventure for the two of us and we have now become city girls.The new school has really helped meet her needs. How Lucky we are! The Class Reunion was fun. 5/07 - Hello Class of 1980! Updating my email. I am still living in the Boston area for 10 years now. My daughter will be 22 this year! Time is amazing! My daughter graduated HS with her Diploma this past year! I am very proud of her hard work! I am still enjoying my job working at The Marino Center for Progressive Health. I will be having my own office in a few months when construction is done! One of the many thing's I enjoy is the Red Sox Season. I have tickets for two games so far! 9/03 - Hello Class of 1980! I've been married to Rob Patch (class of '79) over 19 years now, the big 2-0 is next year! We have two great boys, Sam 11 and Ben 8. They are just the greatest things to ever happen to me!

We've been living in Marlborough, MA for 12 years and love the central location, but really miss the ocean bad!

Worked for 10 years in the business world until we had the kids, then ran my own daycare business from my house for 8 years. Now, I am teaching spinning and yoga and love every minute of it. Plus it helps to fight that middle-aged spread OUCH!!!

12/07 - YIKES!!! I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated my info. I have been married to Rob Patch over 23 years now. We are still living in Marlborough, Ma and just got a bunch of snow dumped on us!

Our oldest son, Sam, is 15 and plays the trumpet in both the MHS Wind Ensemble and the Jazz Bands. He also dabbles on the drums and has become quite good! Our youngest, Ben, is 12 1/2, and plays the Baritone Sax for the MMS. He will be at MHS next fall, and is our resident "jock".

Me? I still teach a few spin classes during the week, but have gone back to doing daycare full time. I am in the position of helping out families, and also am able to be home for my kids when then come home from school.

If anyone sees Tracey Mitchell, tell her I said "hello", and that I've tried emailing her without success.

Hello Class of 1980! After having such a great time at our 20th reunion, and hearing about this great website, I thought I would register. My life history thus far is, I married Scott James class of 1981. Yes we stayed together from my Junior year until the present and boy has the time flown. Our lives are kept very busy with our two children, Erin, who will be 16 (yikes!) in July and Kyle, who is 12. I am a preschool teacher at the Friend-Shipp Preschool in Beverly, yes this is Diane Shipp's (class of 1980) mom's school. I have been truly blessed to be a part of the school and to share in Mrs. Shipp's philosophies. Life is going well, even with all of those big pothotes along the way. It is so very hard to believe that it has been 20 years!

I have been living in Hannover(in the northern part of Germany) since 1980. Never married and don't plan on it, no kids. I work in a hospital as an administrator and organize symposia and congresses. 07/02 - Who would have thought that I would get married which I did on May 17th, 2002. My husband's name is Hans Grupe-Faust and he works as a social worker in a center for mentally disabled persons. I kept my last name (I've been a Faust for more than 40 years and will not change it anymore).
Otherwise I'm still living in Germany, work as the office manager of a research institute (molecular ecology) in the Veterinary University of Hannover. Free climbing remains my major hobby - love every minute of it!

8/02 - I haven't been on this page(according to my kids ages, in 3 years).
I'm still in San Antonio at Colorspot Nurseries as the Propagation Business Manager. We (Wendy and I ) are hosting a german exchange student. Funny how these things come around, we were german exchange students in HS. Anyone remember GAPP, that was a good trip!My oldest will graduate next year. Looks like we will be Longhorn fans. I will be in Beverly this Fall, it's been almost 3 years since I've been for a visit. I Hope all is well with everyone.

9/04 - Well, it's a slow Sunday morning and I though I'd check in on my former classmates. My oldest is a sophomore at Univerity of TX in Austin, the rest of the family has moved to Tennessee living south of Nashville. I am still in the wholesale nursery business and serve as the operations manager for a nursery here. The other 3 kids, 2 in High school and 1 in Middle are active in sports and band, my second oldest plays drums in his HS band, my daughter is playing soccer at her HS and my youngest plays the saxaphone and plays baseball. I'm exhausted just writting about it. Other than that we are doing well here in the south.
I was in Beverly this past June for my grandfathers funeral, some of you may have had him for a teacher at Memorial, Norm Palmer the print shop teacher. He was 93 and active to his death.
Well, that's all the updating for now, I hope all is well with the class of 1980.

Hope everyone is doing well. I am a widow, with 2 children. My son, Christopher is 19 and manager of a store at the Square One Mall in Saugus after graduating from Salem High. My daugher, Manda, is in 9th grade and a member of the National Honor Society and a varsity football cheerleader at Salem High. I cant believe that we turn 40 this year, where did all the time go!!?!! Cant say that all was easy but what dosnt break us makes us stronger, so I must be Atlas by now.

2/03 - Yup we all turn 40 this year, I had my turn already, Happy Birthday to us !!! Lets see I am a widow of 10 years now. I have a son who is 20 and manages a store at the Burlington Mall, and 1 daughter who is turning 16 next month, God help me. Its been one hell of a ride for me am just leaning back now to relax having earned that right a long time ago. My daughter is a sophomore at Salem High, a member of the honor society, and cheerleader, in her spare time she rings groceries at Market Basket. Hopefully in little over 2 years she will be heading down to Duke University in North Carolina, well thats what she is shooting for right now. Hope everyone is well. 12/03- Happy Holidays to all!!!! Lets see from my previous entries, I have 2 awesome kids that I am extremely proud of. My son Christopher just opened his own store in Burlington at the age of 21, after managing other peoples stores. My daughter Manda is 16 going on 25, she is a varsity football and hockey cheerleader, a member of the National Honor Society and a team leader at Target. I am heading back to college in January to finish what I started so long ago, but I kind of got sidetracked with love and marriage. 1/06 - Wow haven't been on here in like forever. So much has changed for me since my last posting. My pride and joy Manda graduated from Salem High class of 2005, she won the Jack Welsh Scholarship, which means 4 years of FREE college. She is attending UMASS-Amherst, she is a pre-med major. Then she will be heading hopefully to Johns Hopkins for Med school. My son Chris continues to run his store and enjoy life. As for me I am remarried to a great guy. 7/05 Turned 43 two days ago - makes me remember how far I've come since 1980. Have two kids, Josh is 23 and owns his own landscape design company in Bar Harbor, ME. Kacy, who is 18 - just graduated after being home schooled for High School. (So she could act in plays and musicals from Boston to NH) She is taking 1/2 the year off to act in shows she is already committed to, then going to college in Boston. I am SO old!
The 25th is coming up in September (the 10th, I was told). I'm hoping to fix my schedule so I can attend. (We have plans to be in the Bahamas then - so write to me and give me a good reason to change my plans!) I work as the Assistant Director of Hospice in York, ME. I've lived in Exeter, NH for 18 years and love it. And for the past 2 years I have been doing professional stand-up comedy in clubs from Boston to Portland! (Yes, SHY Cheryle! I got over it!) I've been in Southern California since 1987, and I recently got my first big break as a TV writer -- I wrote an episode of "3rd Rock From The Sun" that aired January 11, 2000 (Dr. Mary Albright [Jane Curtin] makes a documentary about the alien Solomon family). Also, I've met up with Nelson Bragg, Class of '79, who's
become a good pal again. He's playing drums with about a
jillion bands in L.A., including Brian Wilson, the
mastermind behind the Beach Boys. Everybody should
remember Nelson's dad waking us up in the mornings on
WESX with the announcements of snow days and school
menus.

Can you believe 20+ years out of school,and the memories of the times throughout beverly, and the weekends will always be with us.
