11/04 - Hi class!  I went into the site after a long while and realized my e-mail was VERY obsolete.  The new one should work ok.

Anyway, life is grand!  I feel bad that I've been so out of touch with my old hometown, but going to the BIG GAME '04 on T-day really brought back some great memories.  Freinds, aquaintances and even folks I really didn't get along with...I miss you all.  I hope yoou all have a real cool '05, and keep an eye out for me next T-day!

Hi all! Great idea to set up this database!! I'm living in a suburb of Chicago, IL, and have been for over 14 years! I'm a regular midwesterner now. I work for Allstate (I'm an internal consultant). They've been berry, berry good to me all of these years.

I'm still single and still having lots of fun. I've been living clean & sober for over 10 years now ... lots of reading, dancing, learning & sharing. I never thought I'd stay out here this long but I've made the best friends ... so here I stay!

My parents & one of my 2 brothers still lives in Beverly so I get back there at least once a year, usually around Thanksgiving.

I've heard from a couple of our classmates recently who attended our 20th reunion ... I'll pass this link on to them too. I'd also love to catch up with others from our class - if only to say, "Hi!"

Hello everyone!  After graduating from U Maine in Orono I took a job in the medical device industry and got married.  I met my wife Annette at UMO and we've been happily married for 23 years.  We had one daughter and a son who was killed in a traffic accident while my wife was 6 months pregnant.  Annette was in tough shape after the accident but she made it through and is fine now.  My daughter Alaina is going into her senior year at Endicott College in Beverly.  I can't believe how quickly time has passed.  As for me I currently work for a biotech company, Amgen, in West Greenwich, RI.  After moving around from Magnolia to Derry, NH, to Haverhill, MA we finally settled in Mendon, MA. We've been in Mendon now for the past 13 years.
This is a fantastic way to keep in touch. I attended the 5th year reunion but then lost touch.  Let me know when the next one is.  I'm sure that the 30th has come and gone already.

Hi All!This is a great idea! My family is just now starting to have fun on line. My husband Rick (class of 70)and I have been back in Beverly for the last 13 plus years and have 2 kids. Steve is a junior at BHS and in very involved in the music dept. Amy has discovered the joys of Karate and she is also busy with girl scouts and socializing!(typical,huh) It's great to see some familiar names and get brought up to date.

4/18/00 - Decided it was time to update. Am still Married to Rick(class of '70) and still have 2 kids... both of which are taller than me...Steve is graduating this June and will be attending Salem State in the fall for Elementary Ed. He plans to someday teach music. Amy will be at BHS in the fall with plans to join the color guard...this means that I am still a band parent! She also has green belt in KEN-PO karate,plays soccer and never slows down...would love to hear from you...Sue

10/05 - All info is the same, same 2 kids, same husband, still in Beverly. Both kids are in college, Steve(22)a senior at Salem State, will be student teaching in the fall, and Amy(19) is a freshman at SNHU. Not a "band mommy" any more. Hope to see you at the 30th!

2/08 - Boy, where do I start? A graduated from U. Lowell in '79 with a degree in Meteorology. I was an officer in the Air Force for 5 years, 2 1/2 at NORAD in Colorado Springs, 2 more in Germany. I studied for the priesthood for two years in Missouri. Was a Catholic youth minister for a year near Denver, CO. That's where I met my wife, Michele. We've been married for 19 years. I've been a weather forecaster with the National Weather Service since '87, stationed in Grand Junction and Denver, CO; Flagstaff, AZ, and presently (and for good!) in Grand Junction again. Michele and I have 3 children: Hanna, 17; Mary, 14; and Dominic, 10. Our first son, Ben, died in car accident in 1996. I still play golf, but most of my free time is spent with my wife an kids and fixing all the stuff that needs fixing around the house.

Hi Folks. I have been up here in N.H. since "85". Got Married in "88". I lived in Nashua till March of this year. Now I'm in Manchester N.H. Seems like a lot of us are up here. I coached baseball for 10 yrs. and football for 4yrs. Love working with the kids. Got devorced in "93". I'm a Waste Water treatment Operater. I clean the water the plant uses. People there call me Pigpen. It's kind of a dirty job. But it's fun. Got ahold of Jack Mac and Brian Huggett a few months ago and we've been catching up on our lives.

Oct. 13,2003 - My wife and I packed up and moved on Labor Day. Tired on the cold seasons, Snow,Sleet and freezing rain and driving in it we moved to the great South West. Laughlin Nevada. We are on the Arizona border. We have 9 casino's on the river (The Colorado River). I'm working in the first casino built here The Riverside Resort & Casino. My goal is to become a Card Dealer. I am working on that now.
  We took a week and drove out here from NH. It was a cool trip. Saw some wild sites, including Oklahomer City Memorial. We have some wierd animals out here too. The road runners aint like in the cartoon. They're small and brown, but boy they can run fast!! We see coyotes all the time too. Maybe that's why they ended in the cartoon together. We are still in the 90 degree weather in October here. I do believe I have found Paradise here in Nevada. It is going to be a lot of fun going to all the historic sites around here!!

Glad to see such a wonderful site for BHS Alumni.  My sister, Toni Martatos, Class of 1989, told me about this site.  I will be married 26 years in September to Mike Blatcher from Philadelphia.  I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful partner in life.  We have two sons, Michael Jr., 25, who married Gina Lyden from Tucson, AZ in December 1999, and Christopher, 22, who also lives in Tucson.  We moved to Tucson, AZ in June 1990 and have never thought of leaving...although sometimes during the monsoon, we wonder why we stay!  But life has been challenging, complicated, wonderful, but above all else, full of love and family.  I've worked in law enforcement as a Correctional Lieutenant and Truant Officer for the past 8 years, but am now taking a break.  My hubby is an Engineer with Bombardier Aerospace.  I'm a genealogy nut and have met a lot of wonderful kin along the way.  I do miss the green trees and grass and the wonderful smells and sounds of the holidays.  I wish everyone well back there and hope that life has been kind.   

9/05 - It's hard to believe it's been 30 years already!  We've moved from AZ to KS and now to IL for my husband's work.  We keep getting closer to the east.  I must admit it's nice to see fall colors again.  Life has been good.  Wishing you all happiness, good health, and success, and remember to have some fun!

I am a stay at home mom for our 3 horses and a new baby colt who kept us up many nights bottle feeding (I thought those nights were over). We also have 3 dogs, 1 cat and a parrot, all of which keep me busy and out of trouble. We have lived in Boca Raton, Florida for 17 years and its hard to remember snow and ice and cold, I do not miss it at all. Hi All, I discovered this website while trying to find out about our 25th reunion. Since then, a couple of people have connected with me...its so interesting catching up on everything that has happened the last 25 years. I have been living near the Cape for the past 18 years with my husband and now five children....Ryan(17), Jennifer(15), Heather(9), Christopher(4) and Brooke(6 mos). At the moment I am an at-home mom, and I guess it will remain that way for a few more years since the arrival of our newest "pleasant surprise". Seems everytime I try to get back into the workforce, I end up pregnant! My oldest will be starting college in the fall!!!! It's so weird that "overnight" my babies are going through everything that we went through "just yesterday" with all the school peer pressure. Keep passing on this website to any BHS'ers that you can think of....this is such a great idea! I would love to hear from even more classmates!!

3/05 - Just to update my listing...we are still living near the Cape, and enjoying life to the fullest.  My husband and I had such a wonderful time the the 25th reunion, probably the best social time we had had our entire marriage...and a month later he left me.  Figure THAT one out!  

Well, as difficult as a breakup can be, it turns out that God had a really wonderful guy waiting for me.  Nine months ago I met Jim on the internet.  I found out that he lived just 15 minutes away from me, and had been a single dad for the past 12 years to his 2 boys.  We hit it off immediately...we have the same goals and values, likes and dislikes, we think alike, and even say the same things at the same time.  (Isn't that supposed to happen after you've been around someone for many years????)

I now have my oldest (Ryan) ready to graduate college, and my second oldest (Jennifer) in her second year at Gordon College.  Heather is finishing up Junior High with her best friend Brandi, whose family now lives with us.  Christopher is in third grade (and just made the local Little League team); and Brooke is in preschool.  I was hoping that next year I could go back to work, but we have decided to send her to private school...yep, more chauffeuring!!!

I am looking forward to our 30th reunion...hopefully someone will be contacting us about that in the near future.

Hi everyone.  I was just surfing and came across this page!  What a great idea.   I have been married for 14 years to Ralph (Mike) Capachietti class of 1972. (His sister Linda graduated with us.)  We have 3 kids, Micayla 12, Cristin 9 and Jonathan 8.  I am a part-time bookkeeper for a local food chain and keep very busy with the kids sports and various activities.  We live in North Conway, NH(snow country) and LOVE IT. I never thought I would be driving a mini-van, have a house house with a white picket fence and many household pets, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  I haven't made it to any re-unions because of Ralph's health problems, but am enjoying reading everyones comments.  We don't get to Beverly much these days, but keep up on all the news throught the in-laws.  My family has all left Beverly for the south and warmer climate.  I look forward to getting e-mail from former classmates.  Cathy    

8/06 - Hey everyone, just wanted to post an update on things.  Kids are growing 16, 12 & 11.  I decided at the age of 45 to make a career change so I studied and passed my National Certification for Pharmacy Tech.  I am not a CPhT!!!!  Who would have ever guessed!!!!!!!!! 8/05 - Hello all, just updating, haven't done so for quite some time. Still in Beverly, still at the Y, and the biggest news is I have 3 grandchildren with one on the way.  My Nicole is still in the Navy and living in Haverhill has a 17 month old son and his name is Chuck and she is due October 14th with her second son.  Amy living in Peabody has a 9 month old son and his name is Cody and Jessica is living in Salem and has a 10 month old daughter named Jada.  My weekends are very busy, but I am loving every minute of it.

Hi All- This site is great! Stumbled upon it and so glad I did. Wow Let's see: Married to Brian for the past 23 yrs and we dated for 9 years, so 32 yrs together and still happily married. We have 2 beautiful daughters-Heather 21,attending Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI studying Legal Studies and Psychology and will graduate in May '08. She will go 2 more years there for Grad School and then move to Las Vegas where she wants to get her doctorate and work with the FBI. Heidi is almost 17 and a JR at Pentucket High School and wants to be a Nurse Practitioner. I went to North Shore Community College and graduated in 1984 with a degree in Radiologic Technology, worked at Addison Gilbert in Gloucester for a few years and left the profession 10 yrs ago. Currently working at A. W. Chesterton as an Acct. Executive here in Groveland, Mass where we live.

The girls are Andrea- 18 and Jaclyn-15, both going to peabody high- senior and sophmore respectively, after I got laid off from sylvania I went to east coast aero tech and became airplane mechanic. Still living west of Nashville on a 30 acre farm and don't miss city living at all...it's only forty minutes away when needed. No kids, just a little border collie/Aussie shepherd who thinks she's one. Wife Dawn and I work in addictions treatment. I am director of the intensive outpatient program at a treatment center nearby. I've been in recovery myself since the summer of '75...hard to believe. Still quite active in the music business. This past year I had about twenty of my songs recorded by various artists. More interesting, though, is I just released a new CD influenced by Native American and Toltec wisdom. I was assisted by friends John Carter Cash (Johnny's son) and Duane Sciacqua (former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney and Glenn Frey). Life is good when I choose to see it that way. I moved from the Boston area to Syracuse, NY 14 years ago to go to work for Welch Allyn, Inc. (If you've been in a doctor's office lately, you've had our products used on you!). I got married, had three wonderful kids and am now divorced. I just lost my connection to Beverly with the sale of my parent's home of 48 years (They have moved to Peabody). My partner and I would eventually like to move back to the ocean some day after the kids grow a little more.

Howdy seems appropriate since I'm living in Texas with a wife(mine) and 3
sons (also mine). I married one of those Danvers women 17 years ago, and
we've been living just north of Dallas for 12 years (I'd tell ya where, but
it's a lot like saying "Beverly" when you tell people here you're from
"Masstatuchetts". I tell 'em Boston, they know that's roughly somewhere
north and east of the Red River. Damned Yankee....).

I've been messing up computers since I got out of college in 79, working
largely in electronic data transfer. Somehow the last company caught on and
laid me off, forcing me to become respectable and start my own (currently one
man....) company. And to think Mr. Taylor thought them Prendergast boys
would never amount to anything.
Well, it was that or take up brain surgery.

Wow, it was so strange to read everyones names! I never would have "stopped by" if I hadn't recognized Janice Hutchingson at Bob's in New Hampshire. I was there shopping with two out of my three kids (didn't I hate it when they got old enough to figure out they prefered the "B" in Bob's to the "B" in Bradlees!). I live in Methuen now. I got married in 1980 and had three kids; Jenna is 14, Alyssa 12, and Jake is 8. My parents and brother still live in Beverly so I visit on and off. My sister Karen (married James Powell) lives in two family we bought here. I work in the Methuen School system as a PA in the Media Dept--middle school. Was going to get my Masters last year-I was told I had almost all I needed in my BA from Salem State-but, cancer got in the way. Been a long year, but I'm thinking of going back for my Masters now. I wonder...is it that more people are getting cancer...or are we all getting old and following the natural progression!! Afraid we ARE old! T! hanks for invoking memories of the Ryal Side Drug Store and hanging out at the park!

It truly touched my heart when I came across the names of those who have left us at such a young age. I was working for a company for 14 years as a Quality Control Programmer Specialist (Programming Computer Chips,) but that came to an end when the company left Massachusetts, I was given the opportunity to go with them out west, but chose not to go. I "graduated" from Memorial Jr. High in 1971 and would have been in the class of "75" if my family did not move to Philadelphia, when I was 13. I lived at 159 McKay Street and had tons of friends...PLEASE you know who you were. I would really love to hear from you even if we were Best Friends for only those TWO WEEKS ! I really had a fantastic time in Beverly. I became a USPS Letter Carrier in Center City Philadelphia and  now work for the Postal Service as a HR Specialist. I love Beverly and always will. Hi all! Fun to see what people are up to. I got out the yearbook for the first time in a loooong while and was stunned to find I'd remembered the names of almost all the kids on the inside front cover. We were very cute! What grade was that, anyway? My kids are about that age now. I married Chris Osborne, H/W Reg. class of 77' and we have lived in Essex for over 11 years now. I am an RN and have been at Mass General for 18 years. I spent the first ten years in the O.R. and on a private surgical unit but now work on this really crazy medical unit where we get whatever comes in the front door. Luckily, I work part time and teach CPR and do the school volunteer stuff/girl scouts (really), etc. the rest of the time. Hope to see some familiar faces at the reunion.

5/03 - It's fun to see all of the updates. I am still an RN, work part time @ MGH on a medical unit, mostly cardiac patients.  I also work in the OR in Orthopedics while the kids are in school.  I married Chris Osborne (HW class of 77)and have two great kids.  Our youngest became Autistic after his MMR vaccine at age 21 months, so I am also back in school trying to learn the ins and outs of politics and medicine, etc. We do a lot of adaptive sports activities (ski, ski, ski!)and are hooking up with the Flutie Foundation in trying to bring some of their activities (kayaking) to our area. We live in Essex and are currently building a new house here. If anyone is involved with activities that include handicapped kids, or if you just want to say hi, I'd love to hear from you.

Some of you may remember me as one of our graduation speakers (representing Alt House). BHS graduations were unusual in that a speaker from each house was chosen on the basis of his or her ability to write and deliver a speech rather than place in the class academic standings. This is a wonderful practice, and I hope it's still in place. Being chosen as graduation speaker was one of the best moments of high school for me and was a great boost to my interest in writing. I've followed that interest ever since.

I started out with a degree in English from Salem State, then a master's from the creative writing program at Boston University, and became an editor at a publishing house. I left that career a couple of years ago to focus on my own writing. So far I've written two novels and half a book of essays, some of which I hope will be published soon---so keep an eye out for me on Amazon.com.

My interest in writing has reconnected me off and on with another professional writer in the class, Mary Caulfield.

I hope all of you are finding the time to devote to the activities you most love to do. Midlife is a great time to reevaluate and regroup in order to have a satisfying life.

2/05 - An update is in order due to some exciting changes in my life.  My first novel, The Opposite of Music, is slated for publication in spring of '06.  It's a young adult novel about a family dealing with mental illness.  If you have a child in the early teen years, I hope you'll pick up a copy!  It's a good read for adults, too. Now that my literary career is taking off, I am only working part-time. Having lived closer to Boston for about 20 years (Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Waltham)in order to show up at an office, I'll be buying a house on Cape Ann soon and enjoying the writer's life by the ocean.  So, those of you who are still on the North Shore, maybe I'll run into you in the shopping malls.  There's always the Topsfield Fair too--look for me by the Giant Swing.  Hope everyone is doing well---JY
