Sue and I moved to a waterfront townhouse in Salem over three years ago and love it there. She retired and hopefully I won't be far behind. We have three grandsons - ages 10,6 and 2 and they all live in North Beverly with our daughter and son-in-law. Our son and daughter-in-law live in southern Virginia - no grandkids there just yet but we have hope. We're both in good health and how important is that? We play a lot of golf up at Wenham country Club and get some sailing in over the summer at Jubilee. I see a lot of our classmates and look forward to the 40th reunion this summer.
8/09 - Sue and I live in the Collins Cove Townhouses in Salem. We are both retired and enjoying life. We have four grandsons, 14,10,6 and 2 years old. Golf at Wenham, boat at Jubilee and spend a few months in Florida in the winter. See you at the 45th reunion next year if not before.
2/12 - Retired since July 2009 and loving it. Sue and I live in the Collins Cove Townhouses in Salem, right on the ocean. We now have five grandsons ages 17,12,8,4 and 18 months. Three live in North Beverly and two in Chesapeake, Virginia. We play a lot of golf at Wenham CC and boat at Jubilee. We see a lot of our classmates around town -- hard to believe all these years have passed. This is a great website to check up on old friends

STERN-Susan Stern, 55, a resident of Corrales, and her husband, Dr. Peter Stern, died in their home, December 16, 2002. Susan and Peter lived in Corrales for over 30 years. They are survived by their twin daughters, Molly and Mandy Stern; and son-in-law, Jay Mandel. Dr. Stern was an accomplished orthopedic surgeon of more than 30 years standing and, more recently, had formed a consulting company to perform independent medical evaluations. Susan Stern, known professionally as Susan Glodt Stern shared her profound love and deep knowledge of writing with students who attended one of her writing seminars. She was extremely well read-knowledgeable not just about how to write solid fiction, but also about famous and influential works of literature. She was a prize-winning local journalist before pursuing a career in writing her own fiction and teaching others. Together, Susan and Peter shared a deep love for string instruments, and classical music. They befriended many professional musicians and artists from all over the world. They were devoted patrons of the New Mexico Symphony, the June Music Festival, and other local music and arts organizations. Peter enjoyed studying the violin and Susan, the viola. They were known for their weekend chamber music gatherings at their home. A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, December 22, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 blocks N. of Paseo del Norte) with Rabbi Amy Sapowith, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan Glodt Stern's name to the Southwest Writers Group, 8200 Mountain Rd. 5/03 - We live in Klein, TX, outside of Houston..I am teaching 7th grade English, have two daughters, 31 and 27, both married, the youngest is in law school in NC.
We all try to get to NH every summer for a month and to check on my aunts and see family and friends on the North Shore. I enjoyed seeing familiar faces at the reunion in 2000, although it seems a lifetime ago...pre 9/11, doesn't it? I am now at the point in my life where I want everything to be dull and boring; rude and sudden shocks have taken their toll.
5/09 - 2009 finds us healthy and still living near Houston. I am a middle school librarian with no thoughts of retirement yet. Two daughters, on 37, the other 33...one an attorney, the other in law school. I spend every summer in NH, out of the Texas heat! My husband..still busy working for an oil company...Best to everyone...will we have a 45th reunion?
6/10 - Glad to hear of the reunion in August. We are rebuilding
our summer place in NH, so we expect to be in town then. Someday all the people
living in the Texas area should plan a BHS reunion, San Antonio, Corpus, Dallas,
Houston...how many of us are there now?
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Beverly, though! We are still working, traveling, and enjoying!
3/13 - Wish we could have made 45th...we were in NH, but had company before daughter's wedding. We finally have a grandchild, a baby girl, Ava, born in January in Boston! We are both still working...living in Washington, NH in summer. One daughter in Texas, one in Lexington, MA, so we will split our time. We are very lucky. Love to hear from anyone...or visit us in NH.

Hi Folks. I graduated Brandeis U. 1969, Albert Einstein College of Medicine 1973 and currently practice medical oncology. It's been tough, but saved a few lives along the way. I have three great kids 18-21 and live in Wisconsin. Hey, Cathy Fielding and Janet B. where are you !!!
I am doing well and I find practicing medicine still rewarding. But, I will be cutting back substantially to do fun things; woodworking, wilderness canoe camping in the BWCA and enjoying the company of a great woman! I wish everyone well.
Hi folks, I'm at the end (well, almost the end) of a long medical career. Life has been good. Hope all is well with everyone.

I'm still happily living with my family in San Diego and very active in the community for kids and adults with disabilities.
I'm a School Board appointed member of the Community Advisory Committee for Special Education, which "watches" San Diego's public education for students receiving Special Education services. I'm also an appointed member of the executive board of a state mandated "oversight" agency which oversees the rights of people with Developmental Disabilities.

I am now the Coordinator of EMT & Paramedic Training at Western Nevada Community College in Carson City, NV. Also EMS Captain on the Dayton (Nevada) Vol. Fire Department. It's a small town just East of Carson City on Highway 50 (near Virginia City - yes that old town from Bonanza really exists, but with electricity now!). In addition to running the Rescue truck, I'm usually the engineer for our primary pumper (fire truck) and a wildland firefighter (scary thought, huh? at this age!) You may have seen that we've had over a million acres burn in wildfires this year alone! Also proud to be a member of the 1998 Nevada State Firefighters Association Waterfight Championship team! Living on the Ponderosa suits me well! Very happy, reasonably healthy and dating a neat guy! Keep in touch and let me know if you come to the Reno-Tahoe area.
I was a single warrior goddess for most of my life, until I met the man who really loves me for me! Married him in 2009 in Nevada and again in Beverly two weeks later. Love my husband, my dog and my family. My husband is Vietnam Vet (Captain, USMC Saigon), now retired sheriff (Commander) and out here the sheriffs are the primary police agencies, and he s a retired computer programmer. Our dog is an adopted Belgian Malinois Shepherd, retired police canine and still full of adrenaline! Family is all over this great country and I love to visit and have them visit us. We live in Carson City (state capitol), a city of about 80,000. I was an EMS Instructor and health care administrator in Mass. for many years before moving west in 1997. Also spent 11 years as the Trainer for the UMass.-Amherst Rugby team and was inducted into the Rugby Hall of Fame. After moving west, I was the Coordinator of EMT & Paramedic Training at Western Nevada College in Carson City, NV, until I retired from that. Also recently retired EMS Captain on the Dayton (Nevada) Vol. Fire Department. (It's a small town just East of Carson City on Highway 50 near Virginia City - yes that old town from Bonanza really exists, but with electricity now!). In addition to running the Rescue truck, I was usually the engineer for our primary pumper (fire truck) and a wildland firefighter (scary thought, huh? at this age!) After retiring, I went to work for the feds traveling around the country teaching responders about biological agents for several years and I went back to work at the Carson City Sheriff s Office for a few years. Living on the Ponderosa suits me well! Very happy and reasonably healthy. Keep in touch and let me know if you come to the Reno-Tahoe area.

Having lived in Topsfield, MA for 20+ years I up and moved to Amesbury and have been here for 7. I work for a Food Broker in Billerica and travel throughout New England, which is great because my home is my office..... I get to work (on occasion) without having to get dressed and out of the house in the AM. I love traveling and try to get away whenever I can, particularly to Europe as I love the cities, art, and history.... History? Now that's a shocker, especially to my former teachers.
I have two sons (Tim-36 and Ben-32) - dam, am I that old? - who BOTH packed their bags and moved to Colorado within a year of each other. They have a very successful business designing and inlaying hardwood floors, so I told them that I was going to move out there and let them support me..... funny, but I haven't heard from them in a while.... and why are their phone #'s unlisted? Hmmmm, better think about this one.
Hope to see everyone at the 40th, and would love to hear from anyone.
8/05 - Note new email address........ and if you went to the
40th reunion and got the class directory, note that my PO Box # is 518, not 158.
Also, if anyone missed the 40th (which was last night-Aug 6th), you missed a good one....... by far THE best! And you definitely missed Linda "Tina Turner" Costley.
There were quite a few people who attended for the first time and it was great to see everyone.
12/07 - Moved out of Amesbury and bought a little place in Seabrook, NH, 2 1/2 years ago, just two miles from Karen McNamara, so, naturally, we get together often.... almost like it was in HS. Kids are still in Colorado and I'm not... but my plans are to move out there. Maybe soon.

After living in Danvers for about 15 years, I am now living in Amesbury, MA. I am happily married to my husband, Kim, for the last 16 years. We have no children, but a terrific dog, Keya, keeps us company. My husband and I are both elementary school teachers. He just retired after 35 years and I will retire from teaching in Hamilton-Wenham in June 2004. Thirty-five years of teaching first grades is enough! I'm an avid reader, award-winning quilter, and computer junkie.
