The impossible is possible on the web!  Thanks to Joanne Dodge and Charlie Fiori, I have been found here in Dallas Texas where I currently raise money for the fabulous Dallas Opera.  I have been married to wonderful Bill Torell for five years and we have his four cats and my wirehair fox terrier (quite a houseful).  Saw Roger Armstrong and his wife and my brother's (Shep '61) wedding a few years ago in Lanesville.  I'm definitely looking forward to the 50th!

Been married to Jerry for last 35 years.  Had 3 children.  Oldest one was killed in auto/motorcycle accident in 1990.  Other two are twins, Stephen & Stephanie, both of course are 27 will be 27 years old this August 5th.  She just got married in May and He will probably never get married.  I work in the Judicial System as a court specialist for the State of MN.  My husband is a retired banker and runs a used car lot.  We live in Alexandria MN and have been here for 22 years.  Been in MN since 1971.  Lived in California prior to that.  By the way Donna Reeves is now known as Donna Pope and works as a nurse at Beverly Hospital.  Grace Baccari married name is Sheehan and she is divorced and last I knew worked at Salem State.  I don't get back that way very often.  Sorry I missed the reunion, but Charlie Fiory was great and sent some pictures and I really appreciated them.  Still don't have any grandchildren.  Hope to hear from anyone from the class of 1960.  Think this is a gr!

I have truly travelled the world since graduating in 1960. I have finally settled down in a little retirement community in Banning, Ca., just 20 miles west of Palm Springs. I do love the moderate ( sometimes Hot) climate and keep the cold and snow as fond memories of New England. Before being forced to retire(physical limitations you know) I owned a small resturaunt, which I affectionately called "The Back Bay Beanery." I have contacted one other person (Connie "Menasale" Dempsey so far and in fact still owe her a reply. Remember BTS, also!

I’m living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and have been working for Ford Motor Company in their Research Laboratory for the past 21 years. Lately I’ve been figuring out how to measure the ever-decreasing emissions from vehicles, no longer an easy task. After high school, I got a degree in physics, and went to work for NASA in Cleveland. In 1968, I got married (to a teacher from Ohio), quit NASA, and went back to graduate school fulltime at CWRU, where I got my Ph.D. in physics. Along the way, we had two daughters, one who earned her environmental sciences degree, got married, and is working in the Albany, New York, area. Our younger daughter, an inveterate traveler who has been to Europe and Senegal for extended stays, is an art student at Beloit College. Ann Arbor has been a great place to raise a family, but we maintain strong ties to Beverly, where my parents and several other relatives still live.

What a nice web-site, and isn't it great to see what so many of our classmates have been and are up to. It shouldn't be but it is amazing to me that so many of our classmates are retired or retiring. I cannot! My wife, Kathy, a Canadian, and I have four teenagers, three at home(Ciaran and Fiona, boy and girl twins, both of course sixteen, and Clare, seventeen, are all gregarious, athletic and full of life) and one, Brendan, 19, who just finished his freshman year at NYU's Film School, after "riding the rails" out west and back last summer. My wife, Kathy McShane, is a Social Worker, and I have been engaged in law teaching for the past twenty-five years, the last fourteen as Dean of the University of Dayton School of Law (in Dayton, Ohio). Being dean of a law school, in relation to the faculty, is a bit like herding chickens and roosters, but a very rewarding experience nonetheless.I love to travel,particularly to Ireland and Italy, but almost anywhere will do-will be heading off to Brussels to study European Union institutions next Spring term.I love hiking and canoeing treks too.We spend parts of our summers and winters at a cottage by a lake three hours north of Toronto.! I get back to Beverly, where my mom still lives, pretty regularly, probably next, this coming Thanksgiving. Can I still get good tickets to the Beverly-Salem game?

Hi former classmates!  Following graduation from Brown I went through the Financial Mgmt Pgm at GE (Lynn).  31 years later via Cleveland and Cincinnati, I retired and avoided all the downsizing.  I work a couple of days a week helping an engineering firm and take five days off.  (Better arrangement!)  Now remarried four years, I have my two daughters Joanne and Christine, Kathy's three sons, and seven grandchildren.   Joanne just finished her PhD (Chem) at Berkeley and has a post-Doc doing research in Paris.  Chris and her three children live in a suburb near me.  My remaining contact with Beverly is Diane (Hubbard) Flanders with whom I re-established friendship a couple of years ago.  Sorry I can't make the reunion, but I will be driving by for a Maine vacation later.  It's great to see all the notes!  Check a few recent ski pictures on the webpage.

Hi Classmates,What a great web site and it's a good beginning for the class of '60.Interesting to hear where everyone is & what you've been doing. Seems like it is the period when so many that did their advance planning, are now retiring & relocating. Did spend a year teaching physical ed & coaching basketball & cheerleders at BHS in 67-68. When I first saw Mr. Cater he asked if I were still in detention? I told him that I returned to give some out but I don't think that I ever did. Other that a 7 year stint in Akron & Tallmadge Ohio in the late 60's it was back to beautiful Beverly and the Recreation Department. Somehow it is pretty hard to beat the view from Lynch Park and I love the fact that I get to come here to work everyday and the great people that I work with...all BHS grads from much later years. My daughter, Amy also graduated from BHS in '89 with many of our classmates children. I had the pleasure of working with many others who were also as extraordinary as their parents. Beverly has seen many improvements in the past 8 years so if you've been away for awhile I hope you'll be back for the 40th + 1 sometime during Homecoming in August 2001! I have an adopted daughter, Lynn, who is married to Brian.  He is from England.   And if you are asking yourself how they met, they met through the internet.   They will be married 2 years in June.

After BHS I graduated from Boston College, got married, and saw the world while living in Pakistan(60's), Calcutta (70's), and Saudi Arabia (80's).  My two children were born in the US between trips. Julie (32) is a Russian/ newly independent states analysist for the government and is married and lives in DC.  Stuart (26) is in financial management and lives nearby in Baltimore.  I got a divorce about 10 years ago after 27 years of marriage.  Since then I have managed home care nursing, equipment, and infusion services for insurance entities in order to afford my addiction to exotic adventure travel, which keeps me on the edge, where I love to be, and out of trouble!   I am very anxious to see all of you again at the reunion.

To me this is an opportunity they I have been thinking about for forty years, in the back of my mind, I miss you all, and the great carefree years of innocense, fun, and friendship.  Like the tick toc doughnut shop whenever I hear songs like, Party Doll, or Singing the Blues, Black slacks. etc. I bet you all get the picture. I look at the year book and can't believe the years gone by.  I now live in a town in North Carolina, that Beverly probably looked like 100 years ago.  Its on the intercoastal waterway, layed back, and the weather is beatiful.  My wife Patti and I have had 35 wonderful, and fullfilling years together, and I still can't keep[ my hands of her! She is my reason for living. We have a son who is a chief petty officer in the Coast Guard, married , and have a beautiful grand son by the name of Brennan! And he and his wife are stationed right here. My daughter, Wendi, lives in Muskegeon MI, and is happily married and loves the cold weather.  I have a small d!

After 30 years in Alaska, I retired from the Alaska Dept. of Fish&Game. I just built a house on a mountain top in Idaho and that is where I live now! The county has 1 (yes one) traffic light. Most of my friends are divorced(some several times) so I decided I didn't need that much fun!! I remain single. I attended UMass for two years and Utah State Univ. for 3 years. I received a BS in Forest-Range Science and did my masters work in Wildlife Management. I spend winters in Thailand drinking and raising hell like any other 18 year old!

I live in Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, which is a wonderful place to visit and party if so inclined. I am a legal administrator for a defense law firm praticing in down town New Orleans. Mardi Gras is AWESOME! Pace is very sloooow down here so sometimes I don't fit in. Recently divorced after a 33 marriage. Have 2 children, son Christoper (31) who is a systems engineer for a computer company out of Shreveport, LA and daughter Julie (29) who is a research chemist for a laboratory in Memphis, Tn. I Currently live in a town house but have purchased a country home with 9 acres of fenced pasture and woodlands which I expect to move into just after the reunion. My family lived in Ryal Side between 1947 and 1951. I attended the Edwards School, the Washington - Beadle school, Memorial Jr. High the year it opened, Briscoe Jr. High, then moved to Salem. Hi everyone!  I was married in 1963 and widowed in 1991.  I have two grown children and 1 grandchild.  I moved to Cape Cod and have been working for the City of Quincy for the past 8 years.  It was wonderful to see everyone at the 41st reunion, renewing old friendships and making new ones.  I know I need to get in touch with some of you and now that summer is winding down, I will be doing just that as soon as I return from vacation. Married Diane Gilligan in 1968 and have three children-Laurie'72, Kim'74 and Brian'77. For the last thirty plus years I have been teaching engineering at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. In this atmosphere of continual youth I still think of myself as seventeen. I play basketball and hockey in the winter, sail and golf in the summer. Of course none of this is done very well but it keeps me alive and feeling 39 year after year.

Hello to all of you out there from the Class of '60. I'm alive and well and living in Hope Mills, NC (Fayetteville). Left Beverly in 1963, lived up and down the Eastern Seaboard from Massena, NY to Hollywood, FL and landed in NC in 1997. I've also travelled extensively in Europe visting Germany (my brother lives in Berlin), Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Poland and Russia. Have 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren and a Dad who also live in NC which is the reason I'm here. My youngest daughter and I own a fairly large consignment shop in Fayetteville and between the store and my grandchildren I lead a pretty active life. Am looking forward to the upcoming 41st Reunion in July and hope to see many of you there. I'd love to hear from anyone who would like to drop me a line......

I have been in the computer field since 1969, but have a varied background that includes an Honorary Life Membership in the IUE, AFL CIO. I was Information Systems Manager for a Toyota distributor. [I guess I've been on both sides of the fence] Perhaps my most interesting assignment was independent consultant to the largest diamond importer in the United States, on Fifth Avenue. My hobbies include photography, personal computers, radios, motorcycles, oil painting, boating, and writing. My life partner, Ann Mahoney, and I have been together since 1986. We recently designed and built a custom home in West Boxford. We moved across our driveway into our new house and tore down the old one. [Talk about taking irreversible steps] I moved into Boxford on New Year's Day, 1967. I was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Boxford Town Libraries in May, 2000.

I worked in the OR at Beverly Hosp, as a scrub nurse and then in the Admitting Office as a receptionist, but currently at home.  I attend the Danvers Church of the Nazarene. I'd love to hear from fellow classmates.  Phil worked for the USAF, at Hamscomb AFB in Bedford, as an electrical engineer, for 32 years...traveling all over to USA and Europe. After his retirement, he worked for SSAI, in the same capacity, until diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. He is now a resident of Ledgewood Nurning Home on Herrick St. We have four children and 3 1/2 grandchildren.

An update since my first sign in. My husband, Phil, (BHS class of 1948)passed away in January....after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. I have one son and three daughters. All the girls are married and I have three granddaughters and one grandson. I'm a former LPN and worked in the OR at Bev. Hosp. for many years. After back surgery, I worked at Bev. Hosp. as an admission secretary. Now I'm home, babysitting : ) I'm very involved in the Danvers Church of the Nazarene as pianist for the worship service, Sunday School teacher, member of the mission society, part time church secretary, etc......

Retired from IBM after 30 years as a systems programmer, and currently teaching Microsoft systems and applications for RexHealthcare in Raleigh NC. Graduated from Nasson College up in Springvale Maine in 1964. Married my wife Pat in 1965 just before joining IBM. We have three children, and in 1998 our daughter gave us three grandkids in the form of triplets! Would like to hear from anyone in the class of 1960, or others that I may know. Still married to "Rick" Fowler (Danvers High class of 1954).  It's been 42 years now.  Have one son who has blessed us with the most beautiful granddaughter ever born. Went to Essex Aggie and earned L.P.N. status and then went on to North Shore Community College and earned R.N. status.  Now "retired" from nursing because of an illness known as fibromyalgia.  Run a support group to help others with this illness. (Anyone wishing to know more about this horrible illness may contact me at my "e" address.  We built a beautiful log home on a lake in Lebanon, ME and moved here in 1991.  Best move we ever made!  My son lives about five hundred feet from me so I get to see my granddaughter daily.  I love it! What a great way to keep in touch with old friends and classmates. I've been married to Dick Fanning for 43 years.We had four beautiful children, but tragically lost a son while serving in the army. We have six beautiful grandchildren who keep us young and laughing. Dick is now retired from the Beverly Fire Dept and I am retired from the support staff at Beverly Hospital. We enjoy visiting Florida in the winter and camping in the summer.

Great website. Went to college and have spent over thirty years in Maine, where I owned and built a foodservice distribution business. In 1999 I sold that business to a public company and I am 75% retired, spending seven months in Florida and the summer and fall in Maine. Dianne (Johnson BHS61) and I have been married 39 years and we have four children. Stephen in NYC, Andrew in Tampa, Tracy our only daughter and grandaughter in Denver area, and Michael with one grandaughter and on baby due in August in Boulder, Co. So with most of you, our kids are spread all over, but I still tell them there was no better place to grow up than Beverly. My mother is 89 and still lives in our home in Beverly and Dianne's mother is 85 and still in her home in Ryal Side. Hope to see everyone at future events.

Completed a tour in the Marine Corps as well as an extra tour with the NH Air Nat'l. Guard. Worked for a while in the machine shop business but then went on to my own business with a Frito Lay route.After a while ther was an opportunity with Pepperidge Farm Bakery that I could not pass up. I went on to stay with Pepperidge Farm for over 20 years and retired early in 1997 after completing many successful years as District Sales Manager in the state of N.H. I married the former Sally Low also of Beverly, and we have three wonderful children, and three grandchildren.I am very proud of all.

I entered nursing school at Salem Hospital in 1960 and within 9 months, really understood I'd picked the wrong career.  So I left, got married, and had two children in the next seven years.  My daughter lives in Haverhill and has a 3-year-old daughter; my husband and I are raising my 11-year-old grandson.  Keeps us young! 
In 1975, I went to college, graduated in '79, and went to work as the
Financial Aid Director at Bradford College, which has since closed.  Don't think I had anything to do with that. 
Dennis and I have lived in Boston for 16 years.  He works for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (yep, he's a hack)and I left my position at Boston College when our grandson came to live with us.

I graduated from Wheaton College and got my MFA and PhD from the University of Arizona.   I've been married to George Mairs, a Brown graduate and English teacher, for almost 40 years, and we've lived in Tucson for 30 of those.  We have two children and three grandchildren, as well as a bunch of "fosters."  I've published a book of poems and seven books of essays.  Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1972, I am now almost completely incapacitated.  All the same, I'm lots more cheerful than I was in high school!

Hi everyone,
There is no place like home and that will always be Beverly, however here I am in Florida.   I have two beautiful daughters, Nancy and Cynthia.  No grandchildren yet, but I keep telling my sons-in-law to keep "practicing" and I keep praying!  I retired from teaching and moved to Florida.  My new  after retirement   "career" is driving a limo for a transportation company. It is a fun job!
I return to Mass periodically to see my mother who is 94!!!  Fun talking to you!

8/05 The 45th reunion was fun!!! Here is an update.  I have a grand daughter Chloe. She is a miracle baby (3rd invetro try).  My daughter tried invetro again and the 2nd grandchild is due in March 06.  My other daughter and her husband are adopting a Chinese baby in 06.  Grandchildren are very exciting!

Hello to BHS & BTS friends: After graduation I worked for USM Corp for 37 years as a machinist, a manufacturing engineer, a sales engineer and finally as a system analyst when I retired in 1998 at 55 years old.
